Finally a handover in Ushirika
Not easy to get to Ushirika. The bridge, leading to this village, collapsed so we had to leave our car behind and made a short uphill walk to get to the school. It had been a challenge to get all our construction materials to the construction side, but they managed.
We supplied the first building materials for thisĀ building with 3 classrooms and a teacher office end of 2015, so it took them 2.5 years to complete it.
However, now they see this beautiful result of cooperation and committed to renovate the two existing buildings before the end of the year. If they manage that, they will get another 4-room building so that they will have all the classrooms, offices and a library for their 240+ pupils.
