A work with ups and downs in Kanga!
Kanga, a typical example of how things move here: first material arrived in october 2016. No activity till April 2017. After 2 months the work came to a halt only to be resumed in December. Then they went on till the finish.
We made it clear that such slow work is not acceptable: they have to understand that the education of their children is their only way out of poverty. If they do not care about that, why should we?
They apologized and asked for a second chance. We told them there is a budget for the renovation of 2 other buildings. If they complete that before the end of 2018, in 2019 we will take down the last building and replace that with a new 3-classroom building. That will, at least for the buildings, complete this school. Their 300 kids will love this!
